The award ceremony took place on October 4, 2026, at the Sala della Protomoteca in Rome’s Campidoglio.

The award recognizes the work carried out by Fondazione Severino in prisons and across the wider community through training, cultural, artistic and research initiatives, as well as inclusion programmes for people in prison, young people who have committed offences, and former prisoners.

The Foundation’s activities aim to provide tools and opportunities that can support social reintegration, while encouraging participants to develop new skills, explore new interests and build meaningful relationships.

From artistic and vocational workshops to cultural and research projects, each initiative is developed together with professionals, institutions, universities and partner organizations, with the aim of creating practical programmes that respond to the needs of the people involved.

Receiving the ValoreCoraggio Award is a recognition of this ongoing collective effort, involving professionals working in prisons, trainers, partners and, above all, the people who take part in the Foundation’s activities.

The award marks a further step in Fondazione Severino’s work to create concrete opportunities for training, personal development and social reintegration, both inside and beyond prison.
