Athletic course
The Athletics course was created to offer women inmates an educational, physical and relational pathway through movement and sport. The project promotes physical wellbeing, personal growth and collaboration, enhancing the body as a tool for self-awareness, autonomy and inclusion.
Project
The Athletics course takes place within the women’s section of the correctional facility and includes weekly sessions focused on developing basic motor skills, coordination and muscular strength. Through practical exercises, group activities, movement circuits and speed games, participants are guided through a gradual process of training and body awareness.
Particular attention is dedicated to relay activities, intended as an experience of teamwork and mutual trust, where each individual contribution becomes part of a collective result. The activities are conducted in an atmosphere of respect, participation and support, with the aim of transforming movement into a shared experience of balance, wellbeing and connection

Goals
The project aims to use sport as an educational and relational tool, promoting the participants’ physical and psychological wellbeing while encouraging personal growth. Through movement, the course seeks to strengthen self-esteem, discipline, body awareness and emotional management skills.
At the same time, the programme promotes fundamental values such as respect for rules, perseverance, collaboration and solidarity, helping to create a positive space for inclusion and participation within the prison environment.
