Creative restyling and recovery workshop

The workshop was created in 2023 to stimulate manual skills, creativity and a sense of usefulness through a concrete, sustainable and visually transformative activity. The inmates, guided by Paola Primavera, an artist and trainer, learn to work with reclaimed materials - wood, textiles, metals - to make furniture, accessories and decorations destined for the common areas of the prison.

Craft work thus becomes an opportunity for relationships and cooperation, but also a way to take care of the space one inhabits, transforming it together. Each object produced tells a story of rebirth and care, capable of restoring beauty to places that are often neglected.

The workshop aims to offer an active learning experience focused on symbolic and material transformation. Giving new life to an abandoned object becomes a concrete metaphor for personal redemption.

The project stimulates craft skills, strengthens self-esteem and promotes a sustainable view of reality. The care of common spaces, creative reuse and the collective dimension of the activity become tools to build a bridge between inside and outside, present and future.
