Department of Juvenile Justice

The Severino Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Juvenile Justice, with the aim of promoting joint initiatives in favor of juveniles and young people subject to court orders, to ensure their training, access to employment and concrete paths to social reintegration.

Department of Juvenile Justice

Project

The signing of the protocol between Prof. Paola Severino and Department of Juvenile Justice President Antonio Sangermano marks a formal and substantial commitment to the creation of educational and professional pathways dedicated to young people involved in the juvenile penal circuit.

The agreement aims to join forces between institutions and civil society to provide training opportunities, workshops, cultural activities and pathways to employment, aimed at enhancing the potential of young people and combating social exclusion.

The protocol provides for the direct involvement of young people entrusted to IPMs (Penal Institutions for Minors) and USSMs (Juvenile Social Service Offices), also promoting mentoring and tutoring activities, in collaboration with public and private partners.

This agreement is a key piece in the Foundation's strategy to intervene early and offer young people real tools to resume their growth path in a positive and responsible way.

Objectives

The protocol aims to ensure qualified and inclusive training, promote access to employment for youth in juvenile justice care, and build stable support networks that accompany them toward real social reintegration. It also intends to strengthen inter-institutional collaboration, foster legality education and support a second-chance culture that looks to the future of young people with confidence and responsibility.
