The Protocol was created with the intention of consolidating an alliance between the public and private sectors in favor of the reintegration of prisoners.

Through collaboration between the signatory entities, it is intended to build an effective and replicable model of intervention that promotes the re-education of the convicted person, real resocialization, the enhancement of work as a tool for reintegration, and the activation of integrated paths of training, counseling and research.

Planned actions include:

• the activation of vocational training courses aimed at prisoners and inmates;
• the opening of counseling desks on a national scale;
• the promotion of research and study projects to identify concrete tools useful in reducing recidivism;
• the dissemination of tax breaks for businesses that hire prisoners or ex-prisoners;
• the development of guidelines to make collaboration between prisons, businesses, outside operators and third sector realities more efficient.

This protocol enshrines a joint commitment to overcome fragmented approaches and instead promote systemic, structured and collaborative solutions.

The overall objective is to foster the social and labor reintegration of people deprived of their liberty through coordinated and multi-sectoral action aimed at prison deflation, dignity of punishment and building real bridges between institutions, businesses and civil society. The protocol also aims to strengthen the role of companies in the challenge of inclusion by facilitating dialogue and cooperation among all the actors involved in the re-education process.
