Reception
Through its collaboration with the associations Ain Karim and Be Free, the Severino Foundation supports shelter projects for women ex-prisoners and protection for women victims of violence, offering housing, relational and legal support to foster paths to autonomy and reintegration.
Project
With the Hebron project, promoted by the Ain Karim association, a number of women prisoners or former prisoners are housed in a group home designed as a place of transition and restart. The Severino Foundation is helping to support this welcoming experience, aimed particularly at those who do not have adequate housing or are experiencing situations of deep hardship.
The home becomes a safe space in which to rebuild everyday life, trust and concrete possibilities for reintegration, thanks in part to the presence of experienced operators and the care of community ties.
Objectives
The intervention aims to offer a concrete response to the housing, protection and relational support needs of women leaving prison or experiencing situations of fragility.
The goal is to ensure welcoming spaces in which it is possible to safely start again, breaking the chain of recidivism and violence, and to promote individualized paths of autonomy, care and social inclusion.
