Wool therapy project
The “Libere di Stare Bene” project, carried out in collaboration with Gomitolo Rosa and the Human Age Institute - Manpower Group Foundation, brings the therapeutic power of wool inside the Rebibbia “Germana Stefanini” Prison. Through a wool therapy and crochet workshop, female inmates experience a creative and supportive activity that promotes well-being, empowerment and awareness.

The project
The course involved inmates of the Rebibbia Women's Prison in a crochet workshop. Guided by experienced trainers, the participants learned how to make small tiles of colored wool, which will then be assembled to create blankets.
Wool thus becomes a tool of care and relationship: a simple gesture that brings warmth not only to the artifacts made, but also to the relationships among the people involved. The project is also an opportunity to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention, a theme at the heart of Pink Homburg's commitment, and a way to introduce practices of empowerment and solidarity in a complex context such as prison.

Objectives
With this project, women prisoners had a space where they could feel good, learn and take care of themselves and others. Crochet becomes the means to rediscover their manual skills, cultivate self-esteem and feel part of a common project. At the same time, the activities promote awareness of health issues and open up new forms of solidarity, in a web of threads that tell stories of resilience and rebirth.
