Thanks to the collaboration with IKEA Roma and Sapienza University of Rome, redevelopment initiatives continue within the women’s section of the Rebibbia Prison.
The communal areas of the women’s sections of Rebibbia Prison and the barracks hosting prison officers have been redesigned and furnished with solutions aimed at bringing more light, greater functionality and, above all, a more welcoming sense of everyday life.
The spaces were also shaped by the creative contribution of Paola Primavera, who, through the creative recycling workshop, involved incarcerated women in the creation of decorative elements and artistic interventions capable of bringing colour, care and personality to the environment.
This project shows how even small, tangible changes can have a deep impact on daily well-being and on the quality of human relationships.
Special thanks to IKEA Roma and Sapienza University of Rome for their collaboration, generosity and for choosing to believe with us that change is possible.
