Movement lab
The movement workshop at the Female Prison of Rebibbia is a wellbeing-focused programme dedicated to women inmates, accessible without medical clearance. The activity promotes a simple and progressive approach to movement, designed to encourage self-care and body awareness through guided physical exercises.
Project
The workshop takes place within the different sections of the Female Prison of Rebibbia and is designed as an inclusive and accessible space for physical activity. Sessions are structured to allow all participants to take part regardless of their physical condition, promoting movement as a daily and shared practice.
Activities are based on simple exercises, joint mobility, coordination and breathing work, with particular attention to the connection between body awareness and wellbeing. The physical practice is non-competitive and aims to create a welcoming and respectful environment where each participant can move according to her own pace and abilities.

Goals
The project aims to promote the physical and psychological wellbeing of participants through movement, offering a space dedicated to self-care and body awareness. Physical activity is used as a tool to improve body perception, reduce tension and encourage greater personal awareness.
At the same time, the workshop seeks to foster participation and social interaction among inmates, contributing to a more positive and inclusive environment within the prison sections. Movement becomes a simple and accessible tool to support balance, autonomy and everyday wellbeing.
