Yoga workshop
Inside the Rebibbia Women's Prison, the yoga workshop is a moment of full presence. In a context of rigid rules and expectation, this space of listening and breathing restores fluidity, contact and possibility.
The project
Active in Rebibbia Women's Prison, the workshop is based on the practice of yoga as a tool for reconnecting with the body, breath and inner energy.
Guided by teacher Vanina Jay Kaur Patrizio, participants experience subtle but deeply transformative work: through movement, posture and shared silence, each class becomes a space in which to slow down, feel welcomed and step out - at least for an hour - of the rhythms of prison time.
Location

Objectives
The workshop aims to offer women a nonjudgmental space in which to regain contact with themselves and their bodies in a conscious way.
The practice helps manage anxiety, stress and tension, stimulates concentration and promotes a deep well-being that is accessible even under conditions of restriction. More than teaching exercises, the project cultivates trust, presence, silence. One gesture at a time, one breath at a time, it restores each participant's right to feel alive.
